WECYCLE

Welcome to WEBA freecycle. Does your church have an Alpha Course banner that you no longer need, or any other resources that may come in useful to another church in the region? If so instead of letting it gather dust in a dark corner of the church hall contact us and we can find it a new home. Send details of any resources you may no longer need to Ruth at the WEBA office and we will advertise them here. All items must be free to collector.

How to use WECYCLE:
1. Send your listing, with the subject heading 'offered' or 'wanted' to ruth.whiter@webassoc.org.uk
2. All items must be offered free of charge if collected in person, although for larger items you may mention that a donation would be welcome.
3. There is no need to include contact details in your posting. Replies will be sent to the WEBA office and forwarded to the email address you sent the original message from.
4. Please be clear in your reply which item you are interested in or offering.
Once the WEBA office has put the two parties in touch with each other, it is their responsibility to arrange collection and exchange the goods.

Did you win one of these trophies?
We all know Baptists like getting wet, but did you know that the Bristol and District Baptist Association (one of WEBA's forerunners) used to put on swimming galas?

We have four trophies from these events in the WEBA office, and would like to offer them to anyone who would enjoy owning a memento of water-based fun and fellowship from the 1970s and 1980s.

There are two shields, the John Malson Challenge Shield for senior swimmers and the Junior Swimming Gala shield. They are both engraved with the winning churches between 1974 and 1981. Manvers Street Baptist Church clearly dominated the senior event, whereas in the Junior Gala Shirehampton Baptist Church is top of the leader board, as it were.

There are also trophies for the Gents' and Ladies' 100 yard freestyle events.

Please see photos below, and please contact the WEBA office if you are interested or have any further questions!
