Youth Ministry Training Opportunity: Horizons Are you looking for some free Youth Ministry training? HORIZONS is the European Baptist Federation's online training which you can do at your own pace. After completing each module you simply submit it and receive a reply and comment in due course. Take a look at http://www.ebfhorizons.ca/moodle/

Bob Morris at Cirencester Baptist Church has done the course and is now acting as a mentor for anyone who signs up in the WEBA region. We are the first association to roll out this programme and are acting as a "pilot" for the rest of the UK!

Take a look at the website to see the topics which are covered. Also see the attachment that explains what will be studied...

This is suitable for those who are volunteering in churches and want a bit more training and help. It is not a "dry" academic exercise as you are constantly commenting on your current youth ministry involvement.

New Christian Aid Intern available for youth work Hi, I’m Louise! I grew up in London before studying English Literature at the University of Warwick, graduating in the summer. From September I started work as an intern for Christian Aid for 10 months in Bristol. During my time here I’ll be working with students and young people in the region trying to encourage them to use their faith to shout out against injustice and challenge the systems that keep people poor all over the world. I recently travelled on an intern trip to Zimbabwe where I saw first-hand the effects of poverty on those living in rural areas.  I am available to share my experiences as well as leading workshops on issues such as tax, fair trade and climate change.
