A Gathering for Designated Persons for Safeguarding (DPS)

In line with your church's safeguarding policy, every church will have either one or two DPS who are responsible to keep records of concerns and where necessary refer these concerns on to appropriate agencies. Our aim for the evening is to update and give support to those in your church who have taken on this very important role in ensuring churches are safe places for children, young people and adults at risk. Gender Identity Training Day

This day will provide an opportunity to understand the wider frameworks around gender identity, exploring how gender identity is formed and what the different ideological positions about it are.  Including numerous case studies and scientific evidence, it will be a thoroughly practical day rooted in robust research. The training will  be run by Natalie Collins, through Building Your Compass (http://www.dayprogramme.org/building-your-compass), which also took place at Fresh Streams last year.
