Home For Good Invitation

Home For Good invite you to attend an exciting meeting in Bristol to explore our new project which aims to find homes for Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC). We will be joined by our founding director, Dr Krish Kandiah. Whether you are a church, a family or an individual, we would love you to come along and hear more.

Currently, there are numerous unaccompanied minors across Europe who have the right to come to the UK but are unable to actually travel here as Local Authorities are struggling to find carers to look after them. As a result, children are waiting too long in dangerous situations.

Home for Good is a UK-wide charity that passionately believes that the Church has a leading role to play in demonstrating hospitality to these vulnerable young people and providing the loving homes they need. We also believe that local communities including churches, are well-placed to ensure that these young people receive the necessary support they need.

Join us at this meeting along with representatives from civic society, other churches and individuals on Thursday 3 October to explore how we can work together to offer caring homes and quality community support to Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children arriving in the UK.

You can book onto this event through Eventbrite which also contains further details. Please click here. If you are unable to attend, but know someone who would be interested, please do share this email with them.

For any questions, please contact our Head of Advocacy Emily Christou here.

Kind regards,

Clare
