New CYM Chaplaincy Course

CYM launch a new Chaplaincy Masters Course in 2018

The Institute for Children Youth and Mission (CYM) is launching a new suite of postgraduate courses in autumn 2018 in Chaplaincy with Children and Young People. This will run alongside their well-established MA courses in Youth and Community Work and Practical Theology, and Professional Practice and Practical Theology for those working with children, young people or in communities. CYM works closely with the Centre for Chaplaincy with Children and Young People based in Nottingham.

The courses are available part time for those already working in ministry or seeking a career change and it takes between one year for the Postgraduate Certificate and up to four years for an MA awarded by our partner, Staffordshire University.

CYM has seen a growth in interest in Chaplaincy over the past few years with several short courses being run each year. In addition, a growing number of students on their BA courses have Chaplaincy placements in schools, colleges, hospitals and prisons.

There is a postgraduate interview day on 11 June and a more general Open Day on 3 July for anyone who is interested in any of the postgraduate programmes. For more information, check the web site (http://cym.ac.uk/courses/) or contact postgrad@cym.ac.uk
